Bridge
A protocol that moves value between blockchains, typically by locking an asset on one chain and issuing a representation of it on another.
Bridges have been the single largest source of losses in crypto by value, because a bridge concentrates the assets of every chain it connects into one contract. A bridged token is a claim on that contract, not the underlying asset.
