Taker Ratio
The share of trading volume executed by orders that crossed the spread — takers — split by direction. A ratio above one means buy-side takers outweighed sell-side ones.
Every trade has a buyer and a seller, so "more buying than selling" is never literally true; what can differ is which side was impatient. A taker pays the spread to execute immediately, and a sustained imbalance in who is paying it is one of the few direct readings of urgency available from public data.
