Trading Volume
The total value of an asset traded over a given period, usually 24 hours. It measures activity and, indirectly, how easily a position can be entered or exited.
Reported volume has historically been inflated by exchanges with no incentive to report honestly. We source volume per venue and show it per exchange rather than as one aggregate, so a figure that rests on a single unfamiliar venue is visible as such.
