Volatility
The degree to which an asset's price moves over time, usually measured as the standard deviation of its returns. High volatility means large moves in both directions.
Volatility is direction-blind — it is as high in a sharp rally as in a crash. We compute it from daily returns over our stored candles, which means a newly listed asset has a volatility figure based on very few observations and should be read with that in mind.
