Mintable Supply

A token contract that retains the ability to create new tokens after launch, diluting existing holders whenever it is used.

Whether this is a risk depends entirely on who holds the power and why. For a fiat-backed stablecoin, minting is how redemption works and its absence would be the problem. For an anonymous token with no disclosed supply policy, it is an open-ended claim on everyone else's share.

How common a mintable supply is

Of the 26,809 token contracts Heriux has checked, 2,033 (8%) carry this: New supply can be minted. What it permits, why a contract might legitimately have it, and every token we found it on →

Recently found on: Bnb Burn Forge (BBF), Alliance Fan Token (ALL), SC Internacional Fan Token (SACI), Agentlauncher (CVAI), Centric Swap (CNS), SHILL Token (SHILL), Young Boys Fan Token (YBO), Fluminense FC Fan Token (FLU).

How do I check if a token can mint more supply?

Paste the token’s contract address into the Heriux contract checker. It answers from the contract as deployed, and reports this check alongside the others: minting, freezing, upgrades, sell restrictions and the deployer’s history. Take the address from the token’s explorer or its own page rather than from a reply, since copies reuse the name. Open the contract checker →

Does a mintable supply mean the token is a scam?

Not on its own. 2,033 of the 26,809 contracts we have read (8%) carry it, most of them ordinary tokens. It is a power the contract holds, and what matters is who holds it and whether it is ever used.
